You would like your project to become a part of the collaborative portal and provide content for the meta-search? Then please feel free to contact us!
There are currently three variants for the integration/participation of projects:
Variant 1 “Interface”: Via a suitable interface, the content of the affiliated project is made searchable and filterable. The content and responsibility remain under full control of the respective provider, the independent project URL remains. Prerequisite is a suitable interface through which we can query content of your service in a structured way, such as an OAI-PMH interface, an XML sitemap with structured data according to Schema.org terminology or Linked Open Data).
Variant 2 “Hosting”: If there is a need, an existing project or a project under development can be hosted by the Moses Mendelssohn Center for European-Jewish Studies (MMZ) within the framework of the Portal Jewish History online, while its content will be created and further developed by the (external) project managers. The project will either keep its current URL or – if requested – can be given a portal URL. Prerequisite is the possibility to integrate the project into the technical infrastructure of the MMZ.
Variant 3 “Archival”: A completed project that is no longer actively maintained can be hosted by the MMZ as part of the portal Jewish History online. It will be long term archived as during this process. The previous URL will be replaced by a portal URL. Prerequisite is that the existing offer can be converted into a static archive with sufficiently structured metadata regarding the corresponding page content.
Each request is reviewed individually by the portal steering group. We will be happy to discuss with you which variant is suitable for your project.
